Are you inlove for the right reasons? Dr. Love asks.
1. there are people who have affairs which are overly analyzed but is light on commitment. it is not love - it's a theory.
1. there are people who have affairs which are overly analyzed but is light on commitment. it is not love - it's a theory.
2. there are people who think they're in love and want to marry fast because they don't want to grow old alone. it is not love, but an agenda.
3. there are people who think they're in love with the next warm bodied shmuck they could have after a breakup. it is not love; it's revenge.
4. there are people who think they're in love because they feel like they can't live without them. it is not love - it's infatuation. or an illusion.
5. there are people who constantly check out their partner's cellphone or facebook account just because they want to know everything about their partners. it is definitely not love - it is obsession.
6. there are people who falls hard for the physique, the aesthetics. it is not love, it's vanity. or they're just plain horny. =)
7. there are people who think they're in love just because their partners pamper them silly and make them feel good all the time. it is not love - those people are just self-absorbed. or blood-sucking love vampires who always want to be prioritized.
8. there are people who think they're in love with their past; mainly because they haven't found their closure yet. it is not love, they're just in love with the idea of love.
9. some think they already love their partners because they reciprocate what's being given to them. well, maybe it's not love - maybe they just felt obliged. what's worse, it may be out of pity.
10. there are people who think they're in love just because they feel like there's no one else, or no one's better. it's not love; it's contentment.

what is love, then?
next gig: one of my fave artist's latest exhibit <3
*from a news article:
Igan D’Bayan presents his most recent works in “Mysterious Diseases,” which opens on July 10, 8 p.m., at The Pocket Universe Art Collective, second floor of SaGuijo Café + Bar.The artist says this is his sort-of love letter to horror/sci-fi movies where strange experiments (the sources of much, much dread) are usually going on and which spell doom for the protagonists. “Art, after all, is one strange experiment itself,” D’Bayan explains. “It is a wellspring of despair.
The show is on view until August 4. For information, call 09298424055 or The Crucible at 635-6061. The Pocket Universe Art Collective is at the second floor of SaGuijo Café + Bar, 7612, Guijo St., San Antonio Village, Makati City.
*from a news article:
In “Mysterious Diseases,” the artist has created portraits inspired by movies such as Dead Snow and Taxideremia, Bizarre and Rue Morgue magazines, as well as a “really sick clinical atlas of dermatology” by a Filipino doctor. D’Bayan concludes, “Several of these portraits — Jesus and Hitler as zombies — can be seen as a commentary on the supposed ‘Death of Painting.’ Well, allow me to steal a line from Frank Zappa. Painting is not dead; it just smells funny.”
The show is presented by The Pocket Universe Art Collective in cooperation with The Crucible Gallery. The opening cocktails are on July 10, Tuesday, 8 p.m., with performances by The Black Vomits, Turbo Goth, Noli & The Tangeres, among other bands.
