how to be happy and productive without the guilt

"we are all born alone, and we all die alone.  what matters is the happiness you obtain in between."

but to others, they tend to lose their sense of self-worth while in the process of chasing happiness.

--

and so i've listed down the things i do / my tasks (i had this researched before, so the list doesn't come entirely from me) that i will do / will do whenever i want to do something productive that, in return, will make me happy.

--

1.  look in the mirror, smile and sincerely compliment yourself.  feel good about yourself.
2.  visit an entertaining website. (my current fave: ramon bautista's formspring)
3. spend time with someone who makes you laugh.
4.  go to your favorite local spot and chill.  find serenity.
5.  while chilling at your fave spot, get a post-it, doodle/write a quotation about something 'hopeful' or 'cheerful' then leave it for someone to fins/read.
6.  check out music sites and discover an uplifting and fun song.
7.  prepare a scrumptious food and a big mug of coffee - then sit back, relax and enjoy a looong brunch.
8.  do one good deed and make it a habit to do it everyday.
9.  play your pop tunes and dance around, or sing along to it - out loud.
10. go to your little nook and start that darn book that's been sitting on the corner for ages.
11. make a collage / draw / write a poem / frame a photo of a favorite memory.
12. visit you favorite bookstore / the city library.
13. visit the nearest gallery.
14. take a nap.  it really does make me happy.
15. get a haircut - but not to your usual go-to salon.  try a new one. (goodluck with that hahaha)
16. walk. look around and get inspired.  in my case, i call it "refuel".
17. take photos.  of anyone, anywhere.
18. watch a concert / gig of some artist you've never heard before.
19. learn to cook!
20. indulge.  be it a 2-hour massage or buying a new cd or eating a high-end pastry - go right ahead and do it.  you know you deserve it.

i hope this helps.
see? there's no excuse in sulking. or being bored.
or repeating that sinful pleasure which leaves an ugly effect on your soul.
go get your good vibes back.

come on, let's shine out inner lights.
